Lowa Casyl & Ferodo Bridge
Mabel Gladstone first sat on this bench as a little girl. Rumour has it this abandoned station is about to reopen. New station name boards, new lampposts which actually work and new signals installed. Is Mabel's long vigil about to be rewarded? Are we about to get a working train service through this station once more?
I first made this abandoned station with retaining walls and trailing vegetation about 5 years ago, then put it to one side and forgot about it. Finding it early this year I decided it was time to put the build to good use, in the place I had earmarked for it.
Running deep into a cutting the line runs under the new road which crosses the line by way of a plate girder bridge - remember those old FERODO adverts on hundreds of railway bridges throughout the country?
